Why I Stand 100% for Reproductive Freedom
My support for reproductive freedom is absolute. It is shaped by my lived experience as a first-generation American and, just as importantly, by my professional work as a licensed social worker and nonprofit CEO.
For nearly a decade, I’ve led an organization serving children, youth, and families in crisis. In that role, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when health care is delayed, denied, or politicized. Reproductive health care—including abortion access—is essential to physical health, mental health, family stability, and economic security. These decisions belong between a patient and their provider—period.
Illinois has taken important steps to protect reproductive freedom and has become a safe haven for people seeking care. As a public official, I am committed to defending these laws, funding their implementation, and strengthening access so care is truly safe, affordable, and accessible. Passing laws is not enough—access must be real in practice.
Reproductive freedom is also an economic issue. When people have control over their reproductive lives, they are better able to participate in the workforce, pursue education, and build stable futures for themselves and their families. Protecting access strengthens our communities and our economy
Leadership means being willing to speak up—even when it’s difficult.
I will always use my platform to defend bodily autonomy, evidence-based care, and the separation of church and state.
At the core of my leadership is trust—trusting people to make decisions about their own lives. I will always stand, 100 percent, for reproductive freedom.
Thank you for your support, your trust, and your belief in what we can build together.
Let’s keep going—because together, we’re stronger.
With gratitude,
