Officially Endorsed by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Illinois Chapter
I’m honored to share that the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Illinois Chapter has endorsed my campaign for State Senate in District 27.

As a licensed social worker, this recognition means so much to me—not just professionally, but personally. Social work is more than a career. It is a calling rooted in service, advocacy, and justice.
Social work is, at its core, political. Every day, social workers stand on the front lines addressing the systemic barriers that impact families and communities—whether it’s housing insecurity, access to healthcare, protecting children, or advancing equity. These are the same issues we wrestle with in public policy and in government. The values of our profession—dignity, worth of the person, integrity, competence, social justice, and service—are the exact values that should guide political leadership.
As a state senate candidate, I carry with me the lens of a social worker. That means I don’t just see issues in isolation. I see how they are connected: how housing impacts education, how healthcare impacts workforce stability, how immigration policies impact child welfare. It means I listen first, I seek collaboration, and I never forget that behind every policy debate are real people whose lives will be shaped by those decisions.
The endorsement from NASW-IL affirms that my campaign isn’t just about politics—it’s about people. It’s about ensuring our state has leaders who understand the lived realities of working families, who center compassion in decision-making, and who are committed to building systems that lift people up instead of holding them back.
I am deeply grateful for this vote of confidence. Together, with the support of social workers and community members across Illinois, I believe we can create a future rooted in fairness, opportunity, and care.
