Free training, open to everyone, in partnership with Live4Lali.

Overdose doesn't happen somewhere else. It happens in our neighborhoods, in our families, to people we love. And the person most likely to be there when it happens isn't a first responder — it's a neighbor.

This free, two-hour training gives you the skills to be that neighbor.

Free to attend. No experience or medical background needed.

What You'll Learn

  • How to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose

  • How and when to administer Narcan

  • What to do while waiting for emergency responders

  • How to help save a life in a crisis

Why This Matters

Carina has spent her career as a social worker sitting with families in crisis — and she'll tell you that the moments that change outcomes are almost never the dramatic ones. They're the ones where someone showed up prepared.

That's what prevention actually looks like. Not punishment after the fact, but real tools in the hands of real people, before the worst moment arrives. It's the same belief that shapes how she thinks about public safety, mental health, and every family navigating something hard right now: meet people with support, not judgment.

Live4Lali has been doing this work across the northwest suburbs for years, and we're grateful to partner with them to bring this training to our community.

Come As You Are

You don't need any medical training. You don't need a personal connection to this issue — though many of us have one. You just need two hours and a willingness to learn something that might matter more than you expect.

Bring a friend. Bring a neighbor. Leave prepared.

What Your Contribution Supports:

Every dollar raised directly supports:

  • Printing literature and voter guides

  • Community outreach and door-to-door conversations

  • Hosting town halls and neighborhood meet & greets

  • Digital outreach to reach families across the district

  • Volunteer materials and organizing tools

  • Ensuring working families hear directly from their candidate

Campaigns aren’t powered by speeches alone — they’re powered by connection. Your support helps us reach more neighbors, have more conversations, and build a campaign that truly represents this district.
